Meet the team

Simon Leydon MIRP

Operations Manager

Simon has been with the company 13 years having started as a Recruitment Consultant and internally promoted to Operations Manager of The GBN Group which incorporates Pyramid Recruitment Services Ltd. Simon’s knowledge of the Recruitment Industry is second to none, particularly with all the new legislation that comes with running a very fast paced and efficient Recruitment Agency. He has an excellent sense of humour which is essential when building relationships with the Groups clients on a daily basis. Outside of work Simon practices Wing Chun once a week and loves spending time with his wife and 3 children. He is also an avid Aston Villa supporter, however this should not be held against him!!

Louise Balfour FIRP

Owner/Director

Louise has been in the Industry for 19 years following 9 years serving in the British Army. She prides herself on her ability to adapt our service to our client’s needs. Louise continues to have a hands-on approach within the company and maintains a close working relationship with all of the Company’s clients on a daily basis. Louise is a Fellow of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals. Outside of work Louise loves spending her time at home with her two cocker spaniels, Archie and Poppy,  71 (yes 71!!) chickens or sitting in her hot tub with a large glass of wine alongside her husband David who is founder of the original sister company GBN Associates Ltd.

Luke Waugh

Recruitment Consultant

Luke has been with the company for nearly 6 years during which he has demonstrated hard work, professionalism, and diligence beyond his years. Luke runs the Catering and Hospitality side of the business and assists the team with the Industrial side as and when required. Outside of work Luke is a massive Liverpool fan and is the self proclaimed star player of Boxford Rovers FC.

Jason Cronin

Recruitment Consultant

Jason is coming up to his 9th year with the company as an Industrial Temporaries Consultant. A strong and dependable member of the team, he has shown a natural aptitude for recruitment and always goes the extra mile to ensure the clients needs are fulfilled. Outside of work Jason is a massive sports fan, F1 and Chelsea would definitely be his specialist subjects on Mastermind!

Conner Hughes

Recruitment Consultant

Conner is our newest member of the team who comes from a sales background which has given him the ability to be confident and reliable when dealing with the tasks he has been given. He prides himself on making sure the client is completely satisfied and happy with the service that he has offered. Conner has a real passion for music and loves making his own music and seeing live acts. Outside of work Conner DJ’s locally and with more experience, he would like to expand this in the near future. Watch this space!

Gabby Osborne

Recruitment Administrator

Gabby has recently joined the Group as our new Recruitment Administrator and has settled into the team very quickly. Gabby deals with all of our administrative duties and supports a team of very busy  Recruitment Consultants on a daily basis. Gabby has an excellent sense of humour and has fitted very well in the company and has become a real asset to the team. Outside of work Gabby enjoys swimming, reading and socialising with a large group of friends.

Lisa Perkins

Administration Manager

Lisa has worked for our company for 14 years and runs an extremely efficient and busy admin, invoicing and payroll department. Outside of work Lisa loves walking her dog Ellie, going to the gym and taking amazing photographs of her 4 cats, Oscar, Teddy, Tilly and Dotty (Crazy cat lady!!)

Claire Bailey

Invoicing and Payroll Administrator

Claire has worked for our company for 11 years and assists Lisa in the day to day running of our admin, invoicing and pay roll department. Outside of work Claire loves cycling, reading and baking and is always the last one standing at any of our Christmas parties!
